Join in God's work around the world as your family learns to live on mission for Jesus!
God is at work in every corner of the world, and it is our joy and privilege as parents to show our children how BIG our God is! The Families on Mission card set aims to help your family do just that. For seven weeks (five days a week) your family will adventure from continent to continent learning about missionaries from church history, unreached people groups, and you will be encouraged and inspired to grow in praying for the global church while also serving in your local community. These cards answer important questions for children like: What is our mission as Christians? And, What is an unreached people groups? And, How can I pray for Christians around the world?
These are big questions, but our God is even bigger! These cards make it simple and easy to engage your children as you learn from God's Word together, and join in his work around the world!
Here's how it works!
Each week, your family will focus on one continent (Africa, Asia, South America, etc). There are five cards for each week, and each day, you will read and discuss one of those cards together. The cards teach about missionaries God used to spread the Gospel on that continent, and about current unreached people groups on that continent - you'll learn what their lives look like and how you can pray for them. As you learn, you will pray together for these parts of the world and find a way to serve in your local community that reflects what you have learned about missionaries from church history that week.
The Families on Mission world map jumbo coloring sheet engages kids hands while they listen to the cards being read each day! The Families on Mission world map coloring sheet is nearly 6 FEET long and 3 FEET tall! Your children will be encouraged to color the continent you're focusing on that week as they listen and learn. They'll also get to place stickers from the box on the world map where each missionary served! They will learn so much about God's world and about God's mission!
Why parents love this resource:
- The cards are durable and created for use year after year
- The content is simple enough to engage young children, but detailed enough that your pre-teen will want to get in on the fun!
- The coloring sheet is JUMBO, but easily folds back into its storage bag! Set it out on the dining table, floor, or tape it to the wall! You can leave it out during the day to ensure your family doesn't forget what you are learning together, or pack it easily away each day in its shipping bag.
- This resource is perfect for summer! Seven weeks? YES PLEASE!
- This discipleship tool combines church history, global missions, and geography all in one!
- For children who enjoy different tasks, this resource offers a chance for someone to read aloud, to color, to use stickers, and more! The whole family will be engaged, and you better believe your kids will be begging to do "just one more card" each day!
