This Advent, teach your Tiny Theologians all about the genealogy of Christ! This set of 25 cards walks you and your little ones through the family tree of Christ – from Abraham all the way to Jesus. Each colorfully illustrated card includes a short Scripture reading, exegetical explanation, and questions for discussion. When arranged in 5 rows of 5 cards, they create a beautiful mural of Christ’s family tree. This Advent season, your kids can learn about the unlikely people God called to be part of His plan to bring the Savior into the world, and how Jesus makes a way for us to be grafted into His family as well!

Why thousands of parents love this Advent resource:

"I was looking for an easy, fun and practical way to celebrate Advent this year and this is the perfect tool! FAQ

When will my order ship? 3-5 business days. All orders are shipped USPS First Class or Priority Shipping

How should I store them? Each order (not each product within each order) comes with one complimentary storage bag. Additional bags can be purchased here

What size are the cards? They are 5.5" by 5.5"

What kind of paper are they printed on? They are printed on 120# card stock with a matte laminate finish.

What translation do you use for the Scripture references on these cards? We primarily use 2011 ESV.

How does the puzzle work? The cards work from day 1 to day 25, and the "puzzle" is sequential, meaning you can simply flip them over in five rows of five and reveal the entire mural of the family tree of Christ. Because they are sequential, the character addressed in the day's devotion may not align with the character picture on the back - the purpose of this is so that young learners can arrange the puzzle without much guesswork. Use the front of each card to walk through the season of Advent, and flip them all over to complete the puzzle. Use the puzzle guide card to help your kids understand the orientation of each piece of the puzzle.

Lovely but not matching

I was so excited to receive these and they are beautiful cards. However, I was under the impression that each picture would correspond to the scripture/topic on the back. Instead, the content about Rahab is on the back of King David’s picture etc. etc. As well, there are pictures of only 12 members of Christ’s family - the rest are fillers for the tree (although with great scripture references/chronological story still). So, I think they will be a good resource but I am bit disappointed as I felt the product was inaccurately described.

We loved it! Just one thing...

We purchased this advent for the 2020 season. My kids loved it! Every day they were excited to read more and put the "puzzle" together. I didn't mind the roman numerals as we just used it as an extra learning tool. The only disappointment (2 of them) are that on days 19 and 20 the scripture reference is wrong. Both days read 1 Samuel and SHOULD read 2 Samuel. Again, we used this time as a learning tool and I had my kids look up the references and read them from the Bible itself...this is how the errors were discovered. Overall I recommend this advent! We enjoyed reading and learning about the "uncommon" people and ways that God brought us the Savior, Jesus!

Reinforcing the Promise Made and Kept

First the quality of the cards were really nice. Great printing and paper. But mostly we loved these because of how we used them. We did this for our Advent calendar this year. Each night we opened a card. I had put them in little brown bags and clothes pinned them to string on our wall. As we read each card and learned the people in Jesus’s family I could see it was becoming ingrained in my preschoolers mind. He became excited to open up one each night and slowly build the puzzle. I did make a modification that we opened up the Jesus card on the 25th (it was originally to be placed in the 23rd) as we celebrate His arrival.
The verse, story and questions were short enough for a preschooler to listen but also deep enough for older family discussions.
This will become a family tradition for us for sure.

These are so wonderful

I love these! My 4 and 2 year old both are engaged reading these. They are short, to the point, and so spot on theologically!

Why parents choose us

solid theology made simple.

We're just a couple of seminary grads who wanted to have the best, most theologically-rich content available to the kids in our church and in our family. So we set out to create them. Our promise to you is this: we never water-down theological concepts, never over-simplify God, and we keep the Gospel at the center of it all.

These cards said everything I wanted to say to my kids about God but couldn't articulate myself. To say that they changed our family would be an understatement.

I ordered these cards thinking they would be a cute addition to our church nursery, but MAN! They pack a theological punch! As a children's pastor, I purchased a set for every family in our church.
