The entire story of the New Testament just for kids in a giant floor puzzle!
This puzzle will teach your child all about the great, big story God is telling from Matthew to Revelation. A lot happens in the Old Testament; disciples and miracles and teachings and parables and letters! This puzzle helps children understand the order in which key biblical events occur, and understand why they are important in the overall story of the Bible. The front of the puzzle creates the vibrant and engaging timeline, and the back of each puzzle piece explains how those events fit into the meta narrative (big story of the Bible) in kid-friendly language. As always, we keep Jesus front and center in this resource, pointing children to see how every event in the New Testament teaches God's people that we need a Savior, and Jesus is the Savior God promised would come. Even as they learn about the details of the New Testament timeline, we hope they'll see the bigger picture: from the very beginning until today, God promised to send a Savior who would make a way for His people to be right with Him again. And He kept that promise! This is what the message of the entire Bible is all about: Jesus is the only Savior who can make us right with God.
Every major timeline landmark starts with the letter "C" so that you can remember what happens all along the way. Here are all the major events!
Coming Soon - The whole world was in need of a Savior! The Old Testament closes with Messianic expectation, and the New Testament opens with Messianic anticipation.
Christ - He's here! The Savior the world has been waiting for is here! Jesus was born, lived, died, and rose again as the Savior of the world!
Comforter - After Jesus rose again, He returned to the Father. But He promised that He would send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to dwell within His people. The Comforter came at Pentecost.
Commission - Jesus sent His disciples out into the world to be lights for Him in what is called the Great Commission (Pssst: it's for us today, too!)
Counsel - Many people believed the good news that Jesus was the Savior. But they needed help knowing how to live that out in their daily lives! God lead many New Testament writers (namely, Paul) to write letters to the first ever churches to counsel them on how to live as followers of Jesus.
Coming Again - Jesus has promised to return on day and take all His people to live with Him forever! We have the joy of living in anticipation of His second coming!
